Dynamic Tree Systems provides services promoting long term health of mature trees. We appreciate the value of mature trees, long established in municipal, institutional or personal landscapes. They are dynamic organisms interacting with surrounding systems, so we follow a systems approach recognizing tree health is a function of the relationship between site and plant. Our services include evaluation, recommendation, and corrective action on matters concerning your trees. Education & experience in both tree care & forest biology ensures our consideration of both tree and setting.
We are well versed with the communication needed with organizations such as golf clubs whose committees, boards and superintendents deal with the sensitive subject of mature trees. Our experience, techniques and track record allow our clients to make informed, confident decisions on issues concerning trees.
Noninvasive risk & health evaluation
Though we strive to maintain and enjoy mature trees; safety is and always will be our number one priority. Woody decay can take a toll on trees despite efforts to preserve plant health. Property owners want a reliable way to assess risk from largely unseen internal problems. We feel a noninvasive method of analysis is the healthiest way of assessing risk, and Tree Radar™ is the latest and most thorough manner of analyzing internal decay. In addition to trunk evaluation, the root scanning and mapping capabilities of the Tree Radar Unit (TRU) allow us to provide customers with a visual aid depicting root location. Construction consulting
Involve a professional arborist to ensure that practices at your construction sites protect existing trees from damage. Without determining and marking protection zones before work begins, there's the chance of inadvertent harm to your mature trees.
We also provide tree consultation for new developments by conducting a complete site analysis and making species & location recommendations for a future full of appropriate, healthy trees.
Habitat management & planning
Owner Gary Raffel has worked to improve wildlife habitat with landowners and organizations in New York, with efforts such as
- habitat improvement work on state-owned land for the National Wild Turkey Federation, and
- woods walks addressing tree health issues for the New York Forest Owners Association.
Our experience incorporating apple tree releases into a Quality Deer Management (QDM) program has been valuable on a number of NY projects.
Other arboreal services
Our evaluation of needs of mature trees on occasion leads to action plans involving services such as dynamic cabling and root crown excavation, among others. Work is performed by an ISA Certified Arborist for your assurance of professionalism and training.
